Welcome to the Fundraising Campaign web site for the new Regional Recreation Centre! The Centre will be located at Victoria Park in Owen Sound and will bring a higher standard of recreation facilities and programs to our region. It is the largest community project in years for the people of Grey and Bruce Counties!
A $5 million community fundraising campaign is being led by the Owen Sound Family Y for this facility. The campaign will top up contributions from federal, provincial and municipal governments, as well as the Family Y, in order to achieve the total funding for this $38 million project.
The fundraising volunteers are currently approaching community leaders and businesses to provide the pacesetting donations for the campaign. Fundraising events are occurring and include the recent Elvis concert and a sold out golf tournament at Cobble Beach, coming up on June 30. The planning for the community campaign is now underway so watch for updates on all of this activity in the near future.
